Killin' It Girl surpassed other major K-pop releases this year in terms of number of views. The MV reached 1 million views in just 43 minutes, surpassing:
- BLACKPINK's Lisa's Born Again (1 hour 45 minutes)
- BLACKPINK’s Jennie's Like Jennie (1 hour 22 minutes)
- BLACKPINK’s Jennie's Handlebars (1 hour 44 minutes)
As of writing, the video has already crossed 1.3 million views and continues to trend on the platform. An X user, @Kimtetekoo, wrote,

Soon after the milestone was achieved, the ARMY took to social media to celebrate j-hope’s success. Many described it as the "best MV and song" of this year.

Killin' It Girl marks the third single in j-hope’s solo project this year, following Sweet Dreams and Mona Lisa. The rapper completed his military service in October 2024, and soon after began preparing for his world tour. In just a few months, j-hope managed to design an extensive concert series across multiple countries, given the short preparation window after his discharge.
j-hope's HOPE ON THE STAGE tour began in February at Seoul’s KSPO Dome and has since spanned 15 cities and 31 shows. It reached more than 470,000 fans globally. Cities such as Brooklyn, Chicago, and Mexico City saw sold-out arenas.
The final encore shows are taking place on June 13 and 14 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, coinciding with BTS’ 12th anniversary and the release of Killin' It Girl. The singles’ live performance is one of the major highlights fans are eagerly anticipating.
The tour’s final dates come just before fellow BTS member Jin kicks off his RUN SEOKJIN EP.TOUR toward the end of June. With six out of seven members now discharged from military service, SUGA, being the last, is set to complete his term on June 21.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, ARMYs are hopeful that recently discharged members such as RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook might join j-hope on stage in Goyang.
